It is best to use non-synthetic oil and a zinc phosphate additive. Be very careful with the drain pan plug- do not over tighten. It is best to get a new one with a gasket. This vehicle takes all of 5.7 liters of oil.

Vehicle is running finely tuned. After sealing some vacuum leaks, we should have a 460 running like new.

Do the B pillar windows go down on this car? Late '75 and all 1976 models had this feature removed and the windows were stationary. You should just cut the a/c compressor and air pump belts.
Those windows do not go down but move back about halt an inch. Yes, I will probably end up cutting out the compressor belt
Dude, that ish is damn near worth gold these days. I'm sitting on ~40 boxes with most being between 2020-2022. And of those, half are targeted for resell and the other half just for me after 5 or so years of aging. Just can't afford the current pricing. Maybe the half I sell will pay for kids college or a new garage...I dunno. Just wish it wasn't so fucking hard to afford what used to be easily accessible. Enjoy'em, sir!

@@sonofhibernia8872 The difference is that bringing Cubans to the USA there is a possibility of them being confiscated and you fined. Bringing them to the EU or Japan--get ready to PAY some serious fucking taxes!!! (cubans or whatever) I might try mailing them secretly. That is how I got most of mine in. Mail a box with a bunch of other shit and list everything except the cigars.
@@rrketc2 Oh man you're not lying. The taxes on cigars where I'm from is outrageous. That's a great idea mailing them with other stuff and put dried goods or something on the declaration. The West truly sucks. Or maybe try and sell them and start over again.

Yes, there is much that can be done to regain the lost HP. Mostly ported vacuum lines need to be disconnected and plugged.

I recommend labeling and rotating packs once a month or every few weeks for rehydration rather than direct contact to water where mold grows from spores on the towel, bag, table,etc. Just leaving them next to a cup of distilled water in an air tight bag/container will puff them back up in a few days or so. You can also measure the weights so they match the gram count on the label (8, 60, 320, etc).

that is interestingly complex; I had pop-up headlights on my first miata. Not sure if it was vaccuum-operated or not. They did away with them. This was mainly due to pedestrian safety regulations being tightened up and having a ‘sharp’ surface area was deemed too dangerous, so mazda discontinued the pop-ups. Maybe they should try these kind.
I saw one guy wired the relay for his pop-up headlights on his Miata to the brakes. So the lights pop up every time he hit the brake pedal...hahahaha....

I dont think they use salt but they do use traction sand- which is really a glacial silt.

Did you find the cover? I have a cable wire that I run under the miata, and thread it through a couple of grommets on each side of the cover. Then use a tiny lock. Keeps it from blowing off.
